This is the sequel to the NBA Fit Run 2011 Race Results that I posted a while ago. I got overly excited over the Race Results that I postponed the posting of photos taken during the event.
So how was the event? Ummmmm… I guess, the fact that I attained a new PR for myself during this fun run will basically influence my decision to say that the event is great. Not to mention that I finally had my picture taken with Coach Rio and Ted got his with NBA Coach Spo and Daniel saw soulmate 5222 (ooooppps! Sorry Dandidoy).
The outstanding complaint will have to be what I call – the uneconomically distributed energy drink.
The Gatorade Booth
Yep! This was the Gatorade booth before it’s eventual collapse. I wasn’t able to witness the said collapse of the majestic booth but I guess people who got so disappointed with the distribution system (well, if you call it a system) silently celebrated on the poor Gatorades’ demise.
This is us clowning around at the photo booth line. The line wasn’t just long and winding but it was muddy and did I say loooooonng? But we got our picture at the booth. Whew!
So let me just get to the interesting photos which took great valiance and courage to procure: Read the rest of this entry

Hell yeah! We kinda redeemed ourselves from our Milo Run. That’s what you call PR! 😀 Hehe.
To know what other runners thought of the event, check pinoyfitness for the race results discussions.
And please allow me to brag:
Female 20-29 Category
I was not able to beat my PR. 😦
It was quite difficult to run in zigzag just to be able to run past through the “walking” crowd. It was challenging to efficiently fend off umbrellas without disrupting your breathing. And it was hard to drag along the shoes which were once so light but suddenly became so squishy heavy. But don’t get me wrong, I really ENJOYED the Milo Run! 😀
Yep! It was this rainy and windy. But everyone still ran for Obet. 😀
Here’s the Race Results for the 34th Milo Marathon Manila Elims last July 31, 2011 (Sunday) at SM-Mall of Asia. Hats off to the 42K Runners! How I wish I can pull that off some time soon. 😀
Here’s ours: Read the rest of this entry

DBP Trust Services, once again, joined in the 7th Trust Officers Association of the Philippines (TOAP) Badminton Fellowship held last July 2, 2011 (Saturday) at The Zone, Malugay, Makati City. Read the rest of this entry
I’ve played Badminton for quite some time now but I didn’t realize what BADMINTON really means until I played last Monday without doing the necessary STRETCHING… I was just way to excited to play again that I ignored the rule of thumb – never go out there without STRETCHING! STRETCHING! STRETCHING! As expected, I woke up the following morning with excruciating pain.
So, due to extreme muscle pain, I have no choice but to succumb to the power of the pain-relieving patch, thus BAD (smellin’) MINT (is) ON (me)! If you are familiar with Salonpas by Hisamitsu, you will know exactly what I mean.
But of course, I’ll just charge this misfortune to experience. Hehe.
So, how’s my Badminton escapades so far?
Our first attempt to learn the game – December 2009.

Champion at last! 😀
Another DBPBC’s Tourney last March 19, 2011. Finally, I got me a trophy!!!! Of course, a special thank you is due to my very patient partner – Ms. Roselle.
A strenuous training and a couple of tournaments later, I am still happily playing. I don’t plan to play my way to the Olympics (as if!). This is just my way to have fun and stay fit. 😀 And even if I don’t get to play as often as I should, still yeah, I’ll continue smashin’! 😀
All in all it was a great run. Hydration stations were strategically located. Run marshalls abound to guide the runners. Though there were issues and concerns on the medals for the 21K Finishers, it was still a great run.
Next year ulit! 🙂
